REAL ESTATE- CONSTRUCTION | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3-4 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a mid-level associate with 3–4 years of experience in construction transactional law to join its Real Estate Group. This is an opportunity to work on significant commercial, energy, and large infrastructure projects in a collegial environment where attorneys engage in meaningful work and grow their careers.
The associate will be responsible for drafting and negotiating design, construction, consulting, and development agreements across a range of industry sectors, with a particular emphasis on large-scale infrastructure and energy projects. The role also provides the opportunity to draft and negotiate EPC contracts, advise clients on claims management, and support litigation and arbitration matters involving construction disputes. Associates will work directly with partners while exercising the independence necessary to manage initial drafts and client interactions.
REQUIRED: Candidates must hold a J.D. from an accredited law school, be admitted to the GA bar in good standing, have a minimum of 3 years of relevant construction law experience is essential, with demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating industry-standard and bespoke construction, design, and consulting agreements. Experience handling EPC contracts for energy projects is highly desirable, and prior involvement with construction litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, mediations, and hearings, is preferred. Applicants should possess excellent academic credentials, immediately transferable skills, and prior experience in an AmLaw 100 or comparably sophisticated environment. The firm seeks candidates who bring strong analytical and writing skills, attention to detail, sound business judgment, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
