EMPLOYMENT: Our client, an AmLaw 50 law firm, is seeking a mid to senior level associate with 3+ years of experience for their Employment Practice Group. This position can be based in any of the firm’s U.S. offices. The ideal candidate should have the relevant experience for an employment counseling position that will support cross-border and global employment work. International counseling experience is strongly preferred, and this associate will interact frequently with other offices in the firm’s global employment practice.
In this role, the associate will be responsible for conducting employment diligence and advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions; drafting and negotiating employment, retention, and related agreements; advising on reductions in force and other employee terminations; drafting restrictive covenants and counseling on employee mobility; and advising emerging companies in all aspects of employment law.
REQUIRED: 3+ years of employment counseling experience (domestic and/or international); a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and excellent academic credentials; bar admission in the jurisdiction of candidate’s preferred office location; strong analytical and writing skills; attention to detail and excellent organization skills; good business judgment; direct and applicable AmLaw 100 firm experience is preferred
