Description
Our client is seeking a mid-level IP Litigation Associate with an Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Similar Field expertise to join its IP Litigation practice. The Associate will handle sophisticated IP disputes involving briefing and motions practice, depositions, expert work, PTAB or trial proceedings, and case management. Candidates must have a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar field, and demonstrated experience of running cases and supervising junior associates and/or paralegals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle sophisticated IP and patent litigation matters; draft substantive briefs and motions; take depositions; work with experts; support or manage PTAB and trial proceedings; and oversee case strategy and day-to-day case management
- Take meaningful ownership of matters and run cases through key phases of litigation; supervise and mentor junior Associates and Paralegals; analyze complex technical and legal issues and collaborate effectively with clients, experts, and litigation teams
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years exp. handling IP litigation, including briefing and motions practice, depositions, expert work, PTAB and/or trial proceedings, and case management
- Demonstrated record of running cases and supervising junior Associates or Paralegals

- REQUIRED: Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar field; other engineering degree and USPTO admission are preferred
- Outstanding written and oral communication, organizational, analytical, and advocacy skills
- JD from a nationally recognized and accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
- Must be bar licensed or prepared to become licensed in the jurisdiction of the hiring office
