Mary Kelly

Mary Kelly is a Senior Legal Recruiter with The RMN Agency. She supports and guides attorneys and clients through the recruiting process from search to hire. She brings energy, curiosity, and dedication to her collaborations with attorneys and paralegals, and they often tell her how much they appreciate The RMN Agency’s personalized approach. “Attorneys lead our team and have intimate knowledge of the legal market in Atlanta. Each legal recruiter adds layers of recruiting insights and life experiences to nurture legal careers,” she says. Mary Kelly believes the team’s multifaceted perspectives help The RMN Agency excel at closely matching attorneys with the right opportunities. The RMN Agency meets you where you are in your legal career. Our Atlanta legal recruiting team genuinely looks beyond legal skills and qualifications to understand you and what’s important to you. Then we match your talent and experience with the best fit for your legal practice and personality.”

Background

Mary Kelly joined The RMN Agency in 2021. Before recruiting attorneys, she recruited volunteers for multiple educational institutions, faith-based entities, and nonprofits such as Pace Academy, Sarah Smith Elementary,
The Cathedral of St. Philip, and the Junior League of Atlanta. Previously, Mary Kelly managed Human Resources for the corporate office of a national retailer with responsibility for employee relations, benefits, and
the recruitment of corporate and customer-facing managerial positions.

Mary Kelly earned her Bachelor of Arts, in English, from Vanderbilt University and her Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University. She initially gained experience with the legal industry through
the prism of a family member who practiced law for 22 years. So, she appreciates the many questions that arise during an attorney’s search such as: Am I going to make partner, and when? Is this the right practice
area for me? Do I want to continue practicing law in a firm or do I want to go In-House? Do I align with this firm’s culture? Will I fit on this team?

Mary Kelly’s Career Advice for Lawyers

“Try not to fear the unknown and stay open to possibilities,” she says. “Some people adopt a mindset that possibilities are finite within a specific discipline. I’ve witnessed our Atlanta legal recruiters expand perspectives and match people to unexpected opportunities. Seeing an attorney light up about starting in a new law firm or company is rewarding. It’s a privilege and a joy to be a part of someone’s professional and personal journey.”
