Our client, a leading national law firm, is seeking a 3rd- to 5th-year Associate to join its Community Development Finance Practice Group. The Associate will work on sophisticated real estate transactional matters, including real estate lending and joint venture financing, with opportunities to handle transactions involving tax credits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Represent clients in sophisticated real estate lending, joint venture financing, and other real estate transactional matters; draft and negotiate senior real estate secured loan documents and real estate joint venture partnership/operating agreements
• Review title commitments, recorded documents, and surveys; oversee and coordinate paralegal title and survey review; support complex real estate transactions through documentation, diligence, financing, and closing

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3rd–5th year Associate with solid and recent real estate transactional experience, including real estate lending and/or joint venture financing; tax credit transaction experience is preferred
• Experience drafting senior real estate secured loan documents and/or real estate joint venture partnership/operating agreements; requisite experience reviewing title commitments, recorded documents, and surveys
• Strong legal writing, drafting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• JD from a nationally recognized and accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
• Must be bar licensed or prepared to become licensed in the jurisdiction of the hiring office
