Our client, an AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking a mid-level Data Breach Litigation Associate ideally in the Atlanta or New York office. The Associate will focus on sophisticated data breach class action litigation and related regulatory matters, working with a team handling complex privacy and cybersecurity disputes. Incident response experience is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Handle sophisticated data breach class action litigation and related regulatory matters; support case strategy, legal research and analysis, discovery, motion practice, and other substantive phases of complex data breach disputes
•  Advise and collaborate on matters involving privacy, cybersecurity, and data breach issues; work effectively with attorneys, clients, and case teams on complex litigation and regulatory matters; support incident response matters as experience permits

REQUIREMENTS:

•  3-5 years exp. with significant experience in data breach class action litigation and a demonstrated commitment to data breach litigation and related regulatory matters
•  PREFERRED: CIPP/US certification; incident response experience is a plus but not required
•  Excellent legal writing, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to contribute effectively in a sophisticated litigation practice
•  JD from a nationally recognized and accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
•  GA or NY Bar licensed or prepared to become licensed in the jurisdiction of the hiring office
