Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to manage a diverse litigation caseload from inception through resolution, providing strategic legal counsel and representing clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, depositions, and other dispute-resolution matters. The role requires strong research, drafting, litigation, and client-service skills, together with the ability to work independently and collaborate closely with partners, clients, and stakeholders. The position carries a 1,950-hour annual billable requirement and may be remote, hybrid, or fully in-office depending on role, office, and firm requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage a diverse litigation caseload from inception through resolution; conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action; perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and appellate briefs
  • Represent clients in court, arbitrations, depositions, administrative proceedings, and mediations; draft and respond to discovery; retain and collaborate with expert witnesses; prepare for and attend trials
  • Collaborate closely with partners, clients, and stakeholders to provide strategic and practical legal advice; manage deadlines and assignments with a high level of ownership, independence, responsiveness, and organization
  • Billable requirement: 1,950 hours annually

REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3–4 years exp. handling substantive litigation matters, administrative proceedings, depositions and mediations
  • Excellent legal research, writing, oral advocacy, client-relations, and communication skills; ability to prioritize multiple assignments and work effectively independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor with strong judgment, planning, priority-setting, conflict-management, and communication skills; must be responsive, organized, and capable of managing deadlines with significant ownership
  • JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
  • Georgia bar licensed or prepared to become licensed in the jurisdiction of the hiring office; additional bar admissions are a plus
  • Office environtment: Work arrangement may be remote, hybrid, or fully in-office depending on office and firm requirements
