TRANSPORTATION | MID TO SENIOR LEVEL ASSOCIATE (2-15 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking an Attorney to join its Transportation Practice.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with insurance defense experience looking to represent trucking companies, freight carriers, transportation brokers, insurers, and other transportation industry clients in complex litigation matters. The role offers the opportunity to work on high exposure transportation cases while collaborating with one of the nation's largest transportation defense practices.
The Attorney will represent clients in transportation and insurance defense litigation involving heavy trucking, tractor trailer accidents, cargo claims, and freight carrier disputes. Responsibilities include drafting and responding to discovery, preparing initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, managing litigation matters from inception through resolution, and advising clients on issues involving negligent hiring and retention, hours of service regulations, Engine Control Module (ECM) data, messaging and positioning data, Department of Transportation compliance, and accident reconstruction.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have 2-15 years of insurance defense experience handling matters involving heavy trucking, tractor trailers, cargo, and freight carriers. Applicants must be admitted to practice law in Georgia and possess strong legal writing, analytical, and case management skills. Candidates should be comfortable drafting pleadings and discovery, arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, managing multiple litigation matters simultaneously, and working independently as well as collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
