LITIGATION- DEFENSE | JUNIOR–MID LEVEL ASSOCIATE (1–5 YRS): Our client, a nationally recognized defense litigation firm, is seeking a junior to mid-level associate. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside top litigators in a fast-paced and collaborative environment handling professional liability, general liability, and commercial coverage matters. The position provides exposure to all stages of litigation, from pre-suit investigation through mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal, and is ideal for an attorney seeking hands-on experience across a wide range of complex subject matters.
The associate will analyze and summarize legal and factual records, conduct legal and factual research, develop defense strategies, and participate in client meetings. Responsibilities include planning and conducting depositions, preparing and arguing motions, handling hearings and mediations, preparing witnesses and corporate representatives, and briefing matters at the trial and appellate levels. The role requires strong analytical thinking, excellent writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently while meeting strict deadlines. REQUIRED: Candidates must have 1–5 years of defense litigation experience; solid insurance defense experience is preferred, with professional liability and/or coverage litigation experience a plus; strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail; the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; a self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities; a client-focused approach; and active admission to the Georgia Bar in good standing.
