ENERGY TRANSACTIONS-PROJECT DEVELOPMENT | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (4–7 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Energy Transactional practice group. This position offers the opportunity to work within a nationally recognized project finance and development practice representing clients on sophisticated energy, renewable energy, and infrastructure transactions.
The Associate will support complex project development and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, EPC agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, tolling arrangements, development and supply agreements, power purchase agreements, and project finance transactions. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating transaction documents, managing components of deals with increasing independence, collaborating closely with partners and clients, and supporting all phases of project execution from development through financing and closing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong drafting and negotiation skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with significant client interaction and responsibility.
REQUIRED: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; 4–7 years of transactional experience with project development and finance matters; experience with M&A, joint ventures, commercial agreements, or project finance transactions; strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills; ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment; and active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction.
