Description

REAL ESTATE FINANCE | MID TO SENIOR LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3+ YRS): Our client, an Amlaw 100 firm, is seeking a mid-to-senior level Associate to join its Real Estate Finance group. This opportunity offers the ability to work on sophisticated commercial real estate finance transactions while collaborating with a growing national practice representing major lenders and institutional clients.

The Associate will handle complex real estate lending and finance transactions from inception through closing and post-closing administration. Responsibilities include representing lenders in loan origination matters involving structured commercial real estate finance, drafting and negotiating primary loan documents, managing due diligence and closing processes, coordinating transaction teams, and advising on financing structures involving mezzanine loans and preferred equity.

The role also includes supporting asset management and workout matters, including restructuring distressed loans, managing secondary market repurchase facility work, and advising clients on exit strategies and portfolio management. Candidates should be comfortable running sophisticated transactions independently while maintaining strong client communication and managing multiple moving pieces in high-value deals.

The ideal candidate will have broad real estate finance experience, particularly on the lender side, with strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking high-level transactional work, meaningful client responsibility, and long-term growth within a nationally recognized real estate finance platform.

REQUIRED: J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar admission in the jurisdiction of intended practice; 3+ years of broad real estate finance experience; strong academic credentials; exceptional research, writing, analytical, and communication skills; and prior law firm or comparable transactional experience. Experience with structured commercial real estate finance, mezzanine lending, preferred equity, loan workouts, asset management, secondary market repurchase facilities, and managing transactions from origination through closing and post-closing is preferred.

TO APPLY: Please submit a resume, cover letter, and academic transcripts in PDF format.
