ENERGY - FINANCE | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3–5 YRS): Our client, a Global50 firm, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Energy Practice.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with three to five years of transactional law firm experience, preferably in energy finance, who is interested in representing clients in the financing, development, acquisition, and operation of domestic and international energy and infrastructure projects. The position offers the opportunity to play a significant role in sophisticated energy transactions while working with a nationally recognized team advising clients across the renewable and conventional energy sectors.

The Energy Transactions Associate will represent sponsors, lenders, developers, investors, and other market participants in a broad range of energy and infrastructure transactions. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating transaction documents, conducting due diligence, managing transaction closings, coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary deal teams, and advising clients throughout all phases of complex energy transactions. The successful candidate will assist with project finance, mergers and acquisitions, project development, construction agreements, and commercial contracts involving solar, wind, geothermal, battery storage, carbon capture, nuclear, LNG, combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT), and other traditional and renewable energy projects while managing matters both independently and collaboratively.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have three to five years of transactional experience at a law firm, preferably with an emphasis on energy finance or energy transactions. Experience with project finance, mergers and acquisitions, project development, construction contracts, or other complex commercial transactions is preferred. Applicants should possess excellent drafting, analytical, research, negotiation, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be proactive, detail-oriented, client-focused, and capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. A J.D. from an accredited law school and strong academic credentials are required. Admission to the bar in the applicable jurisdiction, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly, is preferred.
