ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY ASSOCIATE | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3-6 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking two Associates to join its nationally recognized Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) practice. This opportunity offers the ability to work on sophisticated regulatory, compliance, enforcement, and litigation matters involving complex environmental issues for major corporate clients across a broad range of industries.
The Associate will support clients on a wide spectrum of environmental law and regulatory matters, including environmental enforcement and compliance counseling, environmental litigation, and transaction-related due diligence. Responsibilities include advising clients on federal and state environmental regulatory requirements, conducting legal research and regulatory analysis, assisting with government investigations and enforcement actions, drafting memoranda and advocacy materials, supporting litigation strategy, and performing environmental due diligence in connection with corporate transactions, financings, and acquisitions.
The role offers exposure to highly complex matters involving environmental risk management, regulatory compliance strategy, and dispute resolution. Associates will work closely with partners and clients to identify legal risks, develop compliance frameworks, manage enforcement exposure, and support strategic business decisions involving environmental liabilities and operational obligations.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience or a strong demonstrated interest in environmental law and regulatory matters. Candidates should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to manage sophisticated matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

REQUIRED: J.D. from an accredited law school; 3–6 years of relevant legal experience; active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction; superior academic credentials; exceptional writing, research, analytical, and communication skills; and experience with or strong interest in environmental compliance, enforcement, litigation, and due diligence. Experience with federal and state environmental regulations, regulatory investigations, compliance counseling, environmental litigation, and transactional due diligence involving environmental liabilities is preferred.
