LITIGATION- TRUCKING & TRANSPORTATION| MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3+ YRS): Our client, a national firm,  is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Trucking and Transportation practice. This role is ideal for a motivated litigator who thrives in a collaborative, high-performing environment. The attorney will work within a firm known for its national reach, close-knit culture, and commitment to excellence, with responsibility for managing a diverse caseload involving general liability, trucking, and transportation-related matters. The Associate will conduct detailed file review, perform legal analysis of claims, handle pre-suit inspections and investigations, draft substantial motions, briefs, pleadings, and appellate filings, and regularly represent clients in court, arbitrations, depositions, and mediations. The attorney will also manage expert witness engagement, oversee discovery, prepare cases for trial, and contribute meaningfully to Chartwell’s team-focused, values-driven practice.

This role requires the ability to independently manage matters, deliver high-quality written work, communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, and perform under the expectations of a 1950-hour billable requirement. 

REQUIRED: A JD from an ABA-accredited law school with at least 3 years of experience handling general liability, trucking, or transportation litigation; admission to the Georgia Bar; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills; the ability to manage a fast-paced caseload with minimal supervision; strong interpersonal communication skills and professionalism; and the capacity to work effectively within a team while responding promptly to client needs.
