LABOR & EMPLOYMENT LITIGATION – STATE & FEDERAL CHARGES DEFENSE | COUNSEL - NON-SHAREHOLDER TRACK (6+ YRS): Our client, a global firm, is seeking a seasoned employment attorney to join its team as a Counsel, Charges attorney. This fully remote role supports a high-volume national practice focused on the defense of administrative agency charges and attorney demand letters from investigation through resolution. The Counsel will manage all aspects of assigned matters, including communications with clients and agencies, drafting persuasive position statements, responding to investigative inquiries, and representing clients in settlement negotiations and virtual mediations. This is a non-shareholder-track position offering sophisticated work with reduced billable hours and no business development or travel requirements, ideal for attorneys seeking flexibility while maintaining engagement in complex employment law matters.
The Counsel will be responsible for independently managing agency charges, conducting factual investigations, preparing strategic responses, and navigating federal and state administrative processes. Candidates must demonstrate strong writing skills, the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines, and exceptional client communication abilities. This role leverages Littler’s data-driven CaseSmart platform, giving attorneys access to national resources, advanced workflow technology, and the support of a fully integrated team.
REQUIRED: A JD and active licensure with the Georgia state bar plus an active bar license in California or Connecticut; 6+ years of employment law experience focused on administrative agency charges at the federal and state levels; demonstrated experience drafting position statements and representing clients in mediations or hearings; strong time-management capability, excellent writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage a substantial caseload autonomously in a remote environment.
