CORPORATE M&A – FINANCIAL SERVICES | JUNIOR LEVEL ASSOCIATE (1-2 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm,  is seeking a junior associate to join its Business Group in Atlanta. This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly active practice handling mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and a broad range of corporate transactions, while working with a team recognized for combining sophisticated deal execution with deep regulatory knowledge in the insurance and financial services industries.

The associate will support a variety of complex transactions, including performing and coordinating due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, managing closings and post-closing matters, collaborating with clients, coordinating with subject-matter specialists, and contributing to broader corporate governance and general counseling matters. The role requires excellent judgment, efficiency in a fast-paced practice environment, and strong writing and analytical capabilities.

REQUIRED: Candidates must have 1-2 years of experience working on a range of M&A matters, including experience performing and managing due diligence, drafting and negotiating deal documentation, and supporting closings; a solid understanding of general corporate law principles including entity formation and governance; experience with joint ventures or commercial contracts is strongly preferred; a Juris Doctor from a nationally recognized, accredited law school with strong academic credentials; admission to the Georgia Bar, eligibility to waive in, or willingness to sit for the Georgia Bar Exam; and demonstrated qualities such as exceptional project management skills, strong persuasive verbal and written communication ability, the capacity to balance priorities and anticipate issues, professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
