HEALTHCARE- ALIGNMENT & ORGANIZATION | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3–5 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a highly qualified associate to join its nationally recognized Health Care Department within the Health Care Alignment and Organizations practice group. The role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated health care transactions while advising clients on complex regulatory and compliance matters impacting the evolving health care industry.
The successful candidate will support a broad range of health care transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, by coordinating regulatory workstreams and advising on compliance risks affecting deal structure and execution. Responsibilities include identifying and analyzing key regulatory considerations such as Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law implications, licensing, enrollment, and reimbursement matters; coordinating regulatory filings and notifications; conducting detailed legal due diligence; drafting portions of due diligence reports; reviewing transaction documents including purchase agreements and disclosure schedules; and assisting clients with risk mitigation strategies and regulatory compliance frameworks. The role requires maintaining awareness of evolving health care regulations and contributing to process improvements supporting transactional regulatory workflows.
REQUIRED: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; 3–5 years of experience supporting health care transactions; strong knowledge of health care regulatory frameworks and compliance issues affecting transactions; excellent academic credentials; superior drafting, analytical, and communication skills; ability to manage complex regulatory matters within transactional environments; and active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice. Experience with home health, hospice, behavioral health, physician practice management, hospitals, or health systems is a plus.
