TRANSPORTATION LITIGATION INSURANCE DEFENSE PARTNER: Our client, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a highly experienced Partner Attorney to join its Transportation Practice in the Atlanta office. The ideal candidate will have 8–15 years of insurance defense experience with a focus on matters involving heavy trucking, tractor-trailer accidents, and cargo and freight carriers.

The Transportation Practice will represent a wide range of clients in the trucking industry, including freight carriers, transportation brokers, truck insurers, public entities, school bus operators, long and short haul truckers, and waste management companies engaged in both intrastate and interstate transportation. The group has significant litigation and trial experience in industry-specific matters, including negligent hiring and retention, hours of service, Engine Control Module (ECM) data, messaging and positioning data, DOT compliance, and accident reconstruction.

The successful candidate will be comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and pleadings, preparing and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. Strong writing, analytical, and case management skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a self-starter who can work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

REQUIRED: J.D. from an accredited law school; admission to the GA Bar; 8–15 years of insurance defense litigation experience with a concentration in transportation law; extensive experience handling trucking and freight carrier matters; proven litigation and trial skills.
