INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3–5 YRS): Our client, a Regional SE firm, is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its Intellectual Property Practice.
This opportunity is ideal for a patent attorney with significant patent preparation and prosecution experience looking to advise clients on sophisticated intellectual property matters across a range of technologies. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex patent matters while collaborating with an established intellectual property practice serving clients across diverse industries.
The Associate will advise clients on a broad range of intellectual property matters, including patent preparation and prosecution, patent-related investigations, intellectual property strategy, and other complex IP matters. Responsibilities also include drafting and prosecuting patent applications, conducting detailed analysis of patent-related issues, managing multiple matters simultaneously, collaborating with attorneys and clients on intellectual property strategies, evaluating technical innovations, and providing strategic legal advice on technology-driven business initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of law firm experience focused primarily on patent preparation and prosecution. Applicants must have a J.D. degree, membership in the applicable state bar, and registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Candidates should have strong technical and analytical skills necessary to conduct complex patent analysis, as well as excellent organizational, written, verbal, investigative, and problem-solving skills. A degree in electrical engineering and experience with telecommunications, integrated circuits, or related technologies is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively collaborate with clients, attorneys, and other professionals.
