Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join its nationally recognized Insurance Recovery and Counseling Practice. The Associate will represent corporate policyholders in sophisticated insurance coverage disputes, complex recovery matters, and commercial litigation, with substantial responsibility, meaningful client contact, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners in a collaborative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-  Represent corporate policyholders in complex insurance coverage litigation, arbitrations, and dispute-resolution proceedings involving D&O, Cyber, RWI, CGL, Environmental, E&O, Property/Business Interruption, and other first- and third-party coverages; advise clients on insurance recovery and litigation strategy across a broad range of coverage issues
-  Manage substantive phases of litigation, including factual development, discovery, motion practice, and hearing or trial preparation; analyze and interpret complex commercial insurance policies, endorsements, exclusions, and coverage provisions; draft coverage analyses, pleadings, motions, briefs, and substantive legal memoranda; assist clients in securing defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims and other significant losses
REQUIREMENTS:
-  4+ years exp. handling complex commercial litigation, with experience in complex contractual disputes; insurance coverage, policyholder-side recovery, and/or related commercial litigation experience is highly relevant
-  Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills; ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
-  High degree of professionalism, initiative, sound judgment, and attention to detail; federal judicial clerkship experience is a plus but not required
-  JD from a nationally recognized and accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
-  Must be bar licensed or prepared to become licensed in the jurisdiction of the hiring office
