GENERAL LIABILITY / INSURANCE DEFENSE | JUNIOR TO MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (2+ YRS): Our client, a national insurance defense firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Atlanta office within the General Liability / Insurance Defense practice. This opportunity offers hands-on litigation experience managing complex liability matters from inception through resolution while working closely with partners, clients, carriers, and experts in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The Associate will manage a diverse litigation caseload involving general liability and insurance defense matters, with responsibilities spanning all phases of case management. Core responsibilities include reviewing claims and analyzing causes of action, conducting extensive legal research, drafting substantive pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and appellate filings, handling written discovery, coordinating expert witness retention, preparing for trial, and regularly representing clients in court, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions. The role offers meaningful client interaction and increasing responsibility in case strategy and litigation execution.

The ideal candidate will be a strong litigator with the ability to independently manage deadlines, prioritize competing demands, and provide strategic, business-minded legal counsel. Candidates should demonstrate strong advocacy skills, excellent communication, and the professionalism required to build trusted client relationships in a high-volume litigation practice.

REQUIRED: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction; minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense, general liability, or related litigation practice; strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills; experience with depositions, mediations, and administrative proceedings; strong organizational and case management abilities; and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Trial experience, experience handling complex liability matters, and additional state bar admissions is preferred.
