Description

Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a mid- to senior-level (4+ yrs) Energy Regulatory Associate Attorney to join its Energy, Environmental and Projects Team. The attorney will advise clients on sophisticated energy regulatory matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and state utility commissions, serving clients including renewable energy developers, independent power producers, data centers, and private equity firms.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Advise energy clients on federal and state energy regulatory matters, energy transactions, and energy policy; represent and counsel clients on matters involving the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and state utility commissions
  • Support a growing practice representing renewable energy developers, independent power producers, data centers, and private equity firms; provide sophisticated regulatory analysis and advocacy while developing direct client relationships and meaningful industry experience

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4+ years exp. gained in a mid-size to large law firm setting; meaningful experience handling energy regulatory matters involving FERC and/or state utility commissions
  • Experience with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is required; strong interest in advising clients across the energy and infrastructure sectors
  • Exceptional oral and written advocacy, analytical, communication, and client-service skills
  • JD from a nationally recognized and accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
  • Georgia bar licensed or prepared to become licensed in the jurisdiction of the hiring office
