CORPORATE - ENERGY | JUNIOR ASSOCIATE (1-3 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Junior Associate to join its Corporate Practice with a focus on energy and infrastructure transactions. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement.
The Associate will advise sponsors, developers, investors, and financial institutions on sophisticated energy, infrastructure, and corporate transactions. The role will involve mergers and acquisitions, project development, project finance, joint ventures, and strategic investments. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating transaction documents, conducting legal research and analysis, managing transaction workflows from inception through closing, participating in client meetings and negotiations, and collaborating with attorneys across the firm's national corporate platform.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have 1 to 3 years of corporate, energy, or infrastructure transactional experience with experience involving M&A, project development, project finance, and joint venture transactions. Experience with renewable energy, energy transition, tax credit transactions, and cross border matters is preferred. Familiarity with tax equity financings, transferable tax credits, structured financings, and complex investment arrangements is a plus. Candidates should possess immediately transferable transactional experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, excellent academic credentials, strong research and analytical abilities, sound business judgment, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. A J.D. from an accredited law school and appropriate bar admission for the office in which the candidate will practice are required.
