CORPORATE & PRIVATE EQUITY |  PARTNER (8-15 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Partner to join its Corporate and Private Equity Team. 

The Partner will represent private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, founders, management teams, and strategic buyers in sophisticated middle market transactions, including deals with enterprise values frequently ranging from $20 million to $250 million. Responsibilities include handling mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, private equity investments, and other strategic transactions; drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, LLC agreements, and related transaction documents; supervising due diligence and closings; advising on corporate governance and ownership structures; and working directly with investment professionals, lenders, accountants, opposing counsel, and other transaction participants.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have 8 to 15 years of sophisticated corporate and transactional experience gained at a law firm or comparable legal environment, with significant experience handling M&A and private equity transactions. Candidates should have experience representing private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, founders, management teams, and strategic buyers. Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, transaction management, and client counseling skills are required. Candidates should possess excellent academic credentials, strong written and verbal communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative and team oriented environment. Candidates must be admitted and in good standing in the jurisdiction where they practice. A historical and portable book of business is relevant to compensation for the position.
