ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING & COMPUTER SCIENCE | PATENT PROSECUTION PATENT AGENT OR ASSOCIATE (3+ YRS): Our client, an AmLaw100 firm,   is seeking a Patent Agent or Associate to join its Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution Practice Group

This opportunity is ideal for a patent professional with a strong technical background and experience prosecuting patent applications involving cutting edge electrical engineering and software technologies. The role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse patent portfolio while working with sophisticated clients developing next generation hardware and software innovations.

The Patent Agent or Associate will oversee and manage patent preparation and prosecution matters for clients across a broad range of electrical engineering and software technologies. Responsibilities include drafting, filing, and prosecuting high quality patent applications, developing patent strategies, corresponding with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of patent filings. The role will focus on technologies involving graphics processing units, tensor processing units, accelerators, neural engines, robotics circuitry and actuators, as well as other advanced electrical engineering and software innovations.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience and possess an undergraduate or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics. Applicants must demonstrate strong academic credentials, excellent writing and communication skills, and prior law firm, engineering, or industry experience. Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office is required for all candidates. Candidates applying as Associates must also hold a J.D. and be admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where they intend to work.
