Our client, a global AmLaw100 law firm, is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its Atlanta office and work with its Data Privacy & Cybersecurity and Consumer Protection teams. The Associate will handle sophisticated government investigations, enforcement actions, litigation, and regulatory counseling matters involving data privacy and cybersecurity, advertising and marketing practices, consumer protection, and consumer financial services. The practice represents companies before the FTC, CFPB, state attorneys general, and other federal and state regulators.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• 3-6 years of relevant litigation, investigations, or regulatory experience, including experience defending or assisting with government investigations and enforcement actions
• Experience with privacy, advertising and marketing, consumer protection, and/or consumer financial services matters, as well as counseling clients regarding state, federal, and international privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and emerging privacy regulations
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills 
• JD from an accredited law school and Georgia Bar license (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly)
• Strongly preferred/plus: Experience responding to CIDs, subpoenas, and regulatory inquiries and conducting related internal investigations is strongly desired. Government, judicial clerkship, or relevant in-house experience is a plus.
