Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Healthcare Transactions Associate to join its nationally recognized Healthcare Practice across multiple offices. The Associate will be an integral member of sophisticated deal teams advising clients on healthcare and legal management services organization transactions. This position offers significant responsibility on complex corporate and M&A transactions across the healthcare industry, with opportunities for meaningful client exposure, professional growth, and advancement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Advise clients on sophisticated healthcare transactions, corporate matters, and mergers and acquisitions
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents and other agreements related to healthcare M&A transactions; manage transactional due diligence, identify key issues, and coordinate specialist review across deal teams; assist with the management and execution of transactions from inception through closing; coordinate with attorneys across relevant practice areas to efficiently manage complex transactional workstreams
- Supervise and mentor junior associates and assist with the allocation and review of deal-related work
- Work closely with clients and senior attorneys while demonstrating sound judgment, attention to detail, and strong project management skills
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2–6 years exp. handling general corporate and M&A transactions, with immediately transferable corporate/M&A skills; excellent drafting, negotiation, organizational, project management, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively and efficiently in a fast-paced transactional environment
- STRONGLY PREFERRED: Healthcare transactional experience is strongly preferred; private equity experience is a plus; private practice or law firm experience is preferred, although candidates with relevant in-house transactional experience will also be considered
- OFFICE ENVIRONMENT: In-office at least 3 business days per week
- JD from a nationally recognized and accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
- Must be bar licensed or prepared to become licensed in the jurisdiction of the hiring office; preference for these offices: Atlanta, GA; Nashville, TN; Chicago, IL or Houston, TX
