LITIGATION - GENERAL LIABILITY, COMPLEX LIABILITY, CATASTROPHIC LOSS | PARTNER (10+ YRS): Our client, a national firm, is seeking a Partner to join its General Liability Practice. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced litigator with ten or more years of insurance defense experience who is interested in leading complex litigation matters while mentoring attorneys and contributing to the continued growth of a collaborative practice.

The Partner will manage sophisticated litigation matters from inception through trial, providing strategic counsel to clients and overseeing all phases of case management. Responsibilities include advising clients on litigation strategy and risk management, drafting and responding to pleadings and discovery, taking and defending depositions, preparing and arguing motions, participating in mediations and settlement negotiations, conducting trial preparation, and representing clients in court and administrative proceedings. The successful candidate will independently manage a substantial caseload while supervising associates and support staff, conducting legal research, drafting dispositive motions and appellate briefs, communicating regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and courts, and contributing to the firm's business development, operational leadership, and strategic initiatives. An annual billable requirement of 1,950 hours applies.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have ten or more years of experience handling general liability and insurance defense matters. Trial experience and significant experience managing complex litigation from inception through resolution are required. Applicants should have experience participating in mediations and settlement negotiations and possess excellent analytical, research, writing, advocacy, and communication skills. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, and the ability to supervise attorneys and staff while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction are required. Admission in additional jurisdictions is a plus.
