IP - COMPUTER SCIENCE / ELECTRICIAL ENGINEERING| PATENT AGENT (3+ YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Patent Agent to join its Intellectual Property team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a nationally recognized IP platform supporting sophisticated patent prosecution and portfolio strategy matters for high-profile clients across a range of technology sectors.
The Patent Agent will draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO, respond to office actions, and conduct patentability, prior art, non-infringement, and validity analyses. Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing patent searches, advising clients on intellectual property strategy, supporting IP due diligence efforts, assisting with licensing matters, and managing patent portfolios. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical fluency, exceptional writing and research skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing team environment.
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering; minimum of 3 years of patent drafting and prosecution experience; USPTO registration; strong analytical and writing skills; proven IP law firm experience; and excellent academic credentials. Experience working with software development is preferred.
