CORPORATE-PRIVATE EQUITY ASSOCIATE (3-6 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Private Equity Associate. This position will focus primarily on advising private equity firms, strategic buyers, and sellers on sophisticated M&A and private equity transactions in a fast growing market.
The Associate will work on complex and high profile private equity and M&A transactions from inception through closing. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating transaction documents, conducting legal research and analysis, managing due diligence and transaction workflows, participating in client meetings and negotiations, advising clients throughout the deal process, and collaborating with attorneys and business professionals across the firm's corporate platform. The Associate will have significant client interaction and responsibility for managing sophisticated transactions while developing strong relationships with private equity and corporate clients.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have 3-6 years of private equity and M&A experience, preferably gained at a leading corporate law firm or AmLaw 100 firm. Candidates should have substantial experience handling or running sophisticated M&A or private equity transactions and should have spent the majority of their practice focused on M&A or PE matters. A J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Georgia Bar are required. Candidates must possess superior academic credentials, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, strong research and analytical abilities, sound business judgment, exceptional organizational skills, and excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
