CORPORATE - EMPLOYEE BENEFITS & EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION | JUNIOR TO MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (2–7 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw50 firm , is seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join its Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated compensation and benefits matters within a leading global law firm.
The Associate will advise clients on a wide range of employee benefits and executive compensation issues, particularly in the context of mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing executive employment, retention, and separation agreements; assisting with the design, implementation, and administration of equity compensation plans and nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements; and supporting transactional due diligence related to employee benefits. The role also involves advising on compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including ERISA-related matters, and collaborating with corporate deal teams to provide integrated transactional support. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong analytical and drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
REQUIRED: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; 2–7 years of law firm experience in employee benefits and executive compensation; experience supporting M&A and financing transactions; strong academic credentials; excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills; and active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction. Experience with ERISA plan investments, qualified retirement plans, and health and welfare programs is preferred.
