LITIGATION | JUNIOR LEVEL ASSOCIATE (2+ YRS): Our client, a national firm, is seeking a junior associate to join its First Party Property Coverage and General Liability practice. This position offers the opportunity to handle complex insurance coverage and litigation matters while working closely with experienced partners and clients in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
The Associate will manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution, including advising clients through the claim investigation process and coverage analysis. Responsibilities include conducting Examinations Under Oath, retaining and coordinating with expert witnesses, drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery, and representing clients in court, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions. The role also involves preparing cases for trial, analyzing legal issues and case strategy, and delivering practical, client-focused legal advice. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong research, writing, and advocacy skills, along with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters with a high level of independence.
REQUIRED: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction; at least 2 years of experience in litigation or insurance coverage; strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills; experience with court proceedings, depositions, and ADR; and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
