BUSINESS RESTRUCTURING & REORGANIZATION | STAFF ATTORNEY (4-6 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 50 firm,  is seeking a Staff Attorney to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization practice. This is a firmwide, non-partnership track position that plays a critical role in supporting the Firm’s bankruptcy and restructuring representations across its national platform.

The Staff Attorney will work closely with the Firm’s Business Restructuring & Reorganization attorneys and internal new matters department to coordinate, manage, and prepare court-required disclosures in bankruptcy matters. Responsibilities include supporting the Firm’s retention as counsel to debtors, official committees, and special counsel engagements; preparing and managing bankruptcy court filings and disclosure requirements; conducting legal research; drafting memoranda and practice-focused publications; and assisting with matters involving Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, distressed mergers and acquisitions, and other insolvency-related transactions.

The role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated restructuring matters while collaborating with attorneys across multiple offices on high-profile bankruptcy and distressed company engagements.

REQUIRED: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; 4–6 years of experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, or insolvency matters; experience supporting Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, and distressed acquisitions, particularly on behalf of companies and debtors; excellent legal writing, research, organizational, and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment; and active membership in the Georgia Bar.
