TRUST & ESTATE | MID TO SENIOR LEVEL ASSOCIATE (5-7 YRS): Our client, a national firm, is seeking a mid-to-senior level Associate to join its Taxation & Wealth Planning Department. This opportunity offers the ability to advise high-net-worth individuals, families, fiduciaries, and trustees on sophisticated wealth transfer, estate planning, and trust administration matters while working within a nationally recognized private client practice.
The Associate will provide strategic counsel on complex estate and wealth transfer planning matters, helping clients preserve and transfer wealth in a tax-efficient manner while addressing family, business, and succession planning objectives. Responsibilities include designing and implementing advanced estate planning strategies involving gift tax planning, charitable giving structures, irrevocable gifting trusts, generation-skipping transfer tax planning, and leveraging federal and state transfer tax exemptions.
The role also includes drafting and reviewing sophisticated estate planning documents such as wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and ancillary planning instruments; advising trustees and executors on trust and estate administration; counseling fiduciaries on their duties and responsibilities; and guiding clients through complex intestacy and estate administration procedures.
The ideal candidate will have substantial trusts and estates experience, strong technical knowledge of transfer tax regimes, and the ability to independently manage complex private wealth matters while maintaining a high level of client service, professionalism, and discretion. REQUIRED: J.D. from an accredited law school; active Georgia Bar admission; 5–7 years of trusts and estates experience; strong working knowledge of gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning; experience drafting sophisticated estate planning documents; strong analytical, drafting, and client communication skills; and the ability to independently manage complex matters. Experience advising ultra-high-net-worth clients, complex fiduciary administration, charitable planning, and advanced wealth transfer structures is preferred.
