BUSINESS & COMMERCIAL DISPUTES | ASSOCIATE MID to SR LEVEL (3+ YRS): Our client, an international law firm and AmLaw 100, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Business & Commercial Disputes team in Atlanta for candidates barred in North Carolina. The Associate will handle sophisticated, high-stakes commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts from inception through resolution for national and international clients across a range of industries. Responsibilities will include drafting dispositive and non-dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions, managing complex discovery and e-discovery, supporting trial preparation and trial teams, analyzing litigation risks, and communicating directly with clients.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have 3-5 years minimum of meaningful commercial litigation experience at a law firm of comparable caliber, including experience handling complex matters involving contract disputes, business torts, partnership/shareholder disputes, fiduciary duty claims, and/or other sophisticated business litigation. Candidates should have substantial experience with motion drafting, legal research, depositions, discovery, and substantive litigation matters, along with excellent written and oral advocacy, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy litigation experience is a plus. Candidates must have a JD from an accredited law school and strong academic credentials. Atlanta-based candidates must also satisfy the position’s North Carolina Bar requirement.
