REAL ESTATE - BUILD-TO-SUIT, ACQUISITIONS/DISPOSITIONS, LAND DEVELOPMENT | COUNSEL (10+ YRS): Our client, a global firm, is seeking a highly experienced Counsel to join its nationally recognized Real Estate practice. This position offers the opportunity to lead sophisticated, high-impact real estate transactions for premier clients across a wide range of asset classes.
The Counsel will represent developers, owners, investors, REITs, lenders, and corporate occupiers in complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and development projects. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases (including ground and triple-net leases), build-to-suit leases with work letters, development agreements, and joint venture documentation. The role also involves leading due diligence efforts, including title and survey review and zoning and land use analysis, coordinating and closing transactions, and managing deal workstreams. The successful candidate will mentor junior attorneys, collaborate across offices, and deliver strategic, business-oriented legal advice to clients in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
REQUIRED: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; at least 10 years of sophisticated real estate transactional experience; significant experience with build-to-suit leasing, land acquisitions, and development/redevelopment projects; prior experience at a major law firm with a national practice; strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills; excellent communication and client management abilities; and active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction. Experience mentoring junior attorneys is preferred.
