CORPORATE - DEFENSE SECTOR EXPERIENCE |PARTNER (15-20 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a lateral Partner with significant defense sector experience to join its Corporate Group. 

This opportunity is designed for an established senior attorney with a strong practice serving defense industry clients and a meaningful portable book of business. The role offers the ability to join a national corporate platform and advise sophisticated companies, private equity funds, and venture capital funds on complex corporate and transactional matters tied to growth, operations, and strategic transactions within the defense sector.

The Partner will advise clients on a broad range of corporate transactions, with a primary focus on mergers and acquisitions, general corporate governance, strategic structuring, and growth-related transactions. Responsibilities include leading complex transactions from inception through closing, serving as a strategic advisor to clients, cultivating and expanding client relationships, driving business development, and contributing to the continued growth of the firm’s corporate practice. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge of defense-sector business operations, regulatory considerations, and transactional needs.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have 15–25 years of meaningful corporate and transactional experience, with significant experience representing defense sector clients. Applicants should possess substantial experience in M&A and general corporate matters, a strong and focused practice, and a portable book of business. Candidates must also be admitted and in good standing with the state bar in the jurisdiction where they reside. Strong leadership, business development, client management, and strategic advisory skills are essential.
