INSURANCE - RECOVERY | MID TO SENIOR LEVEL ASSOCIATE (4+ YRS): Our client, a national firm, is seeking an Insurance Recovery Associate to join its nationally recognized Insurance Recovery and Counseling practice.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with policyholder side insurance coverage experience looking to handle sophisticated insurance recovery matters for corporate clients across a broad range of industries. The role offers substantial responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners on complex coverage disputes and strategic counseling matters.
The Associate will represent corporate policyholders in insurance coverage litigation, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution proceedings involving Directors and Officers (D&O), Cyber, Representations and Warranties Insurance (RWI), Commercial General Liability (CGL), Environmental, Errors and Omissions (E&O), Property and Business Interruption, and other first party and third party insurance coverages. Responsibilities include advising clients on insurance recovery strategy, analyzing and interpreting complex commercial insurance policies and coverage provisions, drafting coverage analyses, pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda, assisting clients in obtaining defense and indemnity coverage, coordinating with insurers, brokers, adjusters, and defense counsel, and supporting all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, hearings, and trial preparation.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience in insurance recovery, insurance coverage litigation, or policyholder side insurance counseling. Applicants should have demonstrated experience representing policyholders, excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. A J.D. from an accredited law school, strong academic credentials, and admission to the applicable state bar or the ability to obtain admission promptly are required. Federal judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
