FINANCIAL SERVICES REGULATORY & COMPLIANCE | SENIOR LEVEL ASSOCIATE (6+ YRS): Our client, a global law firm, is seeking a Senior Level Associate to join its Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced financial regulatory attorney looking to advise banks, fintech companies, payment providers, money services businesses, and other financial institutions on complex regulatory and compliance matters. The role offers the opportunity to work with domestic and international clients across one of the nation's largest financial regulatory practices.
The Senior Associate will advise clients on a broad range of financial services regulatory and compliance matters, including regulatory licensing and chartering, compliance program development, and ongoing regulatory risk management. Responsibilities include counseling clients on banking regulations, money services business requirements, payment systems regulation, fintech compliance, BSA/AML obligations, sanctions compliance, third party risk management, and consumer financial protection laws. The role may also involve advising clients during regulatory examinations, responding to enforcement matters, conducting regulatory due diligence, and providing strategic guidance on evolving federal and state financial services regulations.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have a minimum of 6 years of financial services regulatory and compliance experience, particularly involving banking, money services businesses, payment systems, and fintech companies. Experience with licensing and chartering and knowledge of BSA/AML, sanctions, third party risk management, and consumer compliance are required. Enforcement experience is a plus. Candidates must possess a strong academic record, excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to client service. Admission to or eligibility for admission in the applicable jurisdiction is required. Spanish fluency is preferred but not required.
