TAX CREDIT FINANCE – SENIOR ASSOCIATE/COUNSEL (7+ YRS): Our client, an AmLaw100 firm, is seeking a senior-level tax credit finance attorney with substantial experience in historic tax credits and new markets tax credits to join its nationally recognized Tax Credit Finance team. This role is suited for an attorney capable of leading complex tax credit transactions from initial structuring through closing, while navigating sophisticated financial, business, and legal considerations. The attorney will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating tax equity and loan documents, preparing legal opinions, conducting due diligence, and managing multifaceted project timelines across multiple stakeholders. The practice offers the opportunity to work on highly structured transactions in a collaborative, business-oriented environment within a firm that is widely recognized for excellence in tax credit finance.
The attorney will join a team that values precision, efficiency, and practical problem-solving. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to evaluate financial projections within the tax credit context, and the confidence to negotiate key deal points with counterparties. REQUIRED: A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited, nationally recognized law school; at least 7 years of relevant law firm experience focused on historic tax credits and new markets tax credits; demonstrated ability to manage all facets of tax credit transactions, including structuring, negotiation, due diligence, document drafting, and project management; strong academic credentials; and the capacity to navigate complex financial and legal issues while delivering high-quality work product within a collaborative team environment.
