LITIGATION- PRIVACY & CYBERSECURITY | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3–6 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an Associate to join its Privacy + Cyber practice group. This position is open across all firm offices and offers the opportunity to work within a sophisticated team handling complex privacy-related litigation and cybersecurity matters. The role provides significant responsibility managing cases from inception through resolution while collaborating closely with partners and clients on strategic litigation initiatives.
The Associate will manage day-to-day litigation activities, including leading fact investigations, researching legal issues, and developing litigation strategies. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings such as answers, motions to dismiss, and motions for summary judgment; conducting and defending depositions; negotiating with opposing counsel; and supporting broader litigation strategy and case management. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing client relationships, handling independent workstreams, and contributing to larger team-driven projects within a fast-paced environment.
REQUIRED: Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school; 3-6 years of significant litigation and case management experience; demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day litigation responsibilities independently; strong analytical, writing, and communication skills; excellent academic and professional credentials; experience drafting substantive pleadings and managing discovery and depositions; ability to manage client relationships and workflow effectively; and active bar admission and good standing in the jurisdiction where the candidate intends to practice. Federal clerkship experience; experience with Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) matters or litigation involving privacy-related statutes is preferred.
