ERISA -C&B - EMPLOYEE BENEFITS & EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION | JUNIOR TO MID LEVEL ASSOCIATE (2–6 YRS): Our client, a boutique firm, is seeking a junior to mid level Associate to join its Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation (EBEC) subgroup within the Tax & Benefits Practice Group

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with employee benefits and executive compensation experience looking to advise clients on sophisticated benefits matters, compensation programs, and transactional matters. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex employee benefits issues while collaborating with a nationally recognized tax and benefits practice.

The Associate will advise clients on a broad range of employee benefits and executive compensation matters, including the design and administration of tax-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, incentive compensation programs, and executive compensation arrangements. Responsibilities also include drafting plan documents, assisting with plan corrections, negotiating vendor agreements, supporting mergers and acquisitions through compensation and benefits due diligence and disclosure schedules, preparing and reviewing materials for fiduciary committee meetings, analyzing client questions, conducting legal research, drafting client communications, and providing strategic legal advice on benefits and compensation matters.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have 2 to 6 years of law firm experience focused on employee benefits, executive compensation, tax-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, incentive compensation programs, and related transactional matters. Applicants should have substantial experience reviewing and analyzing complex regulations, drafting benefits-related documents, conducting research, preparing client communications, and supporting M&A transactions involving compensation and benefits issues. Strong drafting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills are required. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in the state where they practice.
