COMPENSATION, BENEFITS & ERISA LITIGATION- HEALTH & WELFARE PLANS | MID TO SENIOR LEVEL ASSOCIATE OR COUNSEL (3+ YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an Associate, Senior Associate, or Counsel with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to join its Employee Benefits practice, with a particular emphasis on health and welfare plans. This role offers the opportunity to work within a sophisticated global tax services platform advising clients on complex employee benefits and ERISA matters, including regulatory compliance, litigation, and strategic counseling related to health and welfare programs.
The successful candidate will support a broad range of employee benefits work, including advising on HIPAA, COBRA, the Mental Health Parity & Addiction Equity Act, the No Surprises Act, and the Affordable Care Act. Responsibilities include counseling clients on health and welfare benefits law, assisting with regulatory and compliance issues, contributing to litigation matters where applicable, and collaborating closely with partners and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive legal guidance. Candidates should possess strong academic credentials, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated experience navigating complex benefits frameworks and advising clients in this evolving regulatory environment.
REQUIRED: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with employee benefits and health & welfare plans; working knowledge of HIPAA, COBRA, Mental Health Parity & Addiction Equity Act, No Surprises Act, and Affordable Care Act; strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills; and active bar admission with ability to practice in Atlanta.
