STATE & LOCAL TAX | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3-6 YRS): Our client, a Global50 firm, is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its nationally recognized State & Local Tax practice. This role offers the opportunity to work with Fortune 100 clients on sophisticated state and local tax planning, controversy, and litigation matters within a collaborative national practice.
The Associate will advise clients on a broad range of SALT matters, including tax planning, compliance, legislation and policy analysis, and litigation and controversy matters. Responsibilities include handling issues involving income, franchise, sales and use, excise, and property taxes; conducting legal and regulatory analysis; drafting memoranda and other substantive work product; supporting audits and disputes; and collaborating with attorneys across offices on complex multistate tax matters.

REQUIRED: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; 3–6 years of state and local tax experience at a law firm or accounting firm; experience with SALT planning, compliance, controversy, litigation, legislation, and policy matters; working knowledge of income, franchise, sales and use, excise, and property taxes; strong academic credentials; excellent writing and communication skills; and a client-service focused mindset.
