TAX - STATE & LOCAL | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3-6 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its State & Local Tax (SALT) team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly regarded tax practice advising clients on complex state and local tax planning, controversy, and transactional matters.
The Associate will advise clients on a wide range of SALT issues, including planning strategies, audits, and litigation matters involving state and local tax authorities. Responsibilities include supporting tax controversy matters, assisting with litigation, and advising on state tax implications arising from mergers and acquisitions. The role also involves analyzing complex tax regulations, preparing legal memoranda, and collaborating with corporate and transactional teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions. Experience with unclaimed property matters is a plus.
