PRIVACY + CYBERSECURITY LITIGATION | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3-6 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its nationally recognized Privacy + Cyber practice in any U.S. office location. The attorney will work closely with partners and clients across a wide range of privacy and cybersecurity litigation matters, taking a hands-on role in managing complex cases from inception through resolution.
The position involves leading fact investigations, conducting legal research, developing defense strategies, drafting dispositive motions and responsive pleadings, taking and defending depositions, negotiating with opposing counsel, and managing day-to-day case activity within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Candidates will engage directly with clients, contribute to strategic planning, and support larger matters while also independently handling smaller assignments with minimal supervision.
The Privacy + Cyber team handles cutting-edge issues at the intersection of technology, compliance, and litigation. The Associate must exercise sound judgment, communicate clearly, and confidently manage workflow across multiple matters. A background in Fair Credit Reporting Act litigation or other privacy-related statutory frameworks is valuable.
REQUIRED: A JD from an accredited law school with 3- 6 years of substantive litigation and case management experience; strong academic credentials; proven ability to draft motions, manage fact development, conduct and defend depositions, and handle substantial written and strategic work; excellent research, analytical, and communication skills; the ability to oversee smaller matters independently and contribute effectively on larger, complex matters; strong client-facing skills; and active bar membership in good standing in the jurisdiction where the attorney will practice. Experience with privacy-related statutes, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, is preferred. Federal clerkship experience is strongly preferred, as is demonstrated ability to build client relationships and manage litigation efficiently.
