IP TRADEMARK ASSOCIATE | MID-LEVEL (4-7 YRS) | NATIONAL: Our client, an AMLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Trademark Associate to join its nationally recognized IP Practice Group. The Associate will advise clients on sophisticated U.S. and global trademark and brand protection matters, including trademark counseling, prosecution, clearance, licensing, enforcement, and portfolio management. The position offers the opportunity to manage complex domestic and international trademark portfolios and work on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious trademark matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Advise clients on global brand protection, trademark counseling, clearance, prosecution, licensing, and enforcement; manage sophisticated U.S. and international trademark portfolios, including complex global dockets and filing strategies;Â
- Handle trademark enforcement matters, including cease-and-desist letters and notice-and-takedown procedures
- Represent and advise clients in TTAB actions, foreign opposition proceedings, and UDRP domain name disputes; handle federal trademark litigation and other IP disputes
- Provide strategic advice to clients regarding brand development, protection, enforcement, and portfolio management
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4-7 years exp. handling sophisticated trademark and brand protection matters, including: trademark counseling, prosecution, clearance, licensing, and enforcement, cease-and-desist matters, notice-and-takedown procedures, TTAB actions, foreign oppositions, UDRP disputes, and federal litigation
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex U.S. and global trademark portfolios
- Strong legal research, writing, oral communication, organizational, and time-management skills; ability to manage a fast-paced, complex global workload and docket while effectively prioritizing matters and anticipating issues
- JD from a nationally recognized and accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
- Must be bar licensed or prepared to become licensed in the jurisdiction of the hiring office
