APPELLATE PRACTICE & TRIAL SUPPORT | JUNIOR TO MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (2+ YRS): Our client, a mid-size national firm, is seeking an Associate to join its Appellate Practice and Trial Support team. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated appellate matters and provide strategic support during trial proceedings across a broad range of complex litigation matters.
The Associate will assist trial teams at all stages of litigation by preserving appellate issues, developing legal strategy, drafting dispositive and appellate briefs, researching complex legal issues, and supporting trial counsel during hearings and trials. Responsibilities include handling appellate oral arguments, arguing substantive legal motions, participating in charge conferences, preserving the record for appeal, and providing strategic guidance on appellate and trial-related issues. The role requires close collaboration with litigators across practice areas and offers meaningful courtroom exposure and advocacy opportunities.

REQUIRED: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; 2+ years of appellate practice and trial support experience; demonstrated courtroom experience, including appellate oral arguments, motion hearings, charge conferences, and trial support; exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills; strong academic credentials; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Judicial clerkship experience is strongly preferred.
