HEALTHCARE TRANSACTIONS | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3-5 YRS): Our client, a highly respected boutique Healthcare Law firm in Atlanta, is seeking an Associate to join its healthcare and corporate practice. The Associate will work on sophisticated healthcare transactions involving physician practices, including acquisitions, sales, affiliations, buy-ins, buyouts, and other ownership transitions. Responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating corporate and commercial agreements, conducting due diligence, structuring and closing transactions, preparing governance and ownership documents, and advising on physician employment and independent contractor arrangements. The Associate will also advise clients on healthcare regulatory and compliance matters, including the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Certificate of Need requirements, and support the firm’s outside general counsel relationships with physician practices.
REQUIREMENTS:Â
- Education: JD from an accredited law school and active Georgia Bar membership or be eligible and willing to obtain admission promptly.
- Experience: Candidates should have 3-5 years of meaningful corporate, transactional experience, ideally in the healthcare field, although candidates outside this range with strong judgment and demonstrated ability may be considered. The ideal candidate should have experience with corporate transactions, acquisitions, entity governance, employment arrangements, and/or regulatory compliance, with healthcare or physician-practice experience preferred. However, Litigation candidates may be considered if they have a clear and well-supported interest in transitioning to a long-term healthcare transactional practice. Candidates must possess strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters and deadlines.Â
