Description
REAL ESTATE / PUBLIC FINANCE | MID TO SENIOR LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3+ YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Midlevel or Senior Associate to join its Real Estate group. This opportunity offers the ability to work on sophisticated public finance and economic development transactions while collaborating with one of the nation’s leading real estate and finance practices.
The Associate will advise clients on complex public finance and economic development incentive transactions, with a particular focus on matters involving property tax incentives and tax-advantaged development structures. Responsibilities include structuring, drafting, and negotiating transaction documents related to bonds-for-title arrangements, PILOT (Payment in Lieu of Taxes) transactions, and similar incentive programs; conducting legal analysis of financing structures; coordinating with issuers, bond counsel, developers, and other transaction participants; and managing transactions from inception through closing.
The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience serving as bond counsel, issuer’s counsel, or company counsel in public finance matters involving economic development incentives. Candidates with additional commercial real estate transactional experience — including acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, or financing—will be especially attractive. The successful candidate will possess strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills and be comfortable managing sophisticated transactions in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking highly specialized public finance work, meaningful client responsibility, and long-term growth within an elite Am Law firm.
REQUIRED: J.D. from an accredited law school; 3+ years of public finance experience; meaningful experience with property tax incentive transactions, including bonds-for-title, PILOT, or similar economic development programs; excellent academic credentials; and exceptional verbal, writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Commercial real estate transactional experience, including development, acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.
